2026 Vision Series - Part 1: Presence | Galatians 2v10-21// September 13th, 2026

Teaching overview

The Gospel calls us to stay centered on Jesus and resist the compromises and distractions that can slowly pull us away from our mission. In Christ, our old life is dead, we live each day by faith in his presence, and we are deeply loved by God. As a church, we are called to keep our focus on Jesus and join his mission of seeing those broken by sin renewed through Christ.

Our prayer for the Community

Jesus, help us keep our eyes fixed on you and recognize the ways we can slowly drift from your gospel and your mission. Remind us this week that we are deeply loved by you, and help us live out that love as we join you in bringing renewal to those around us. Amen.

Group questions and further meditations:

  1. Am I Drifting?

    Meditation:

Peter didn’t suddenly abandon the gospel—he slowly drifted because he was afraid of what others thought. Small compromises can gradually move our lives away from Jesus.

    Discussion Questions:

Where might I be tempted to compromise or drift because of fear, pressure, or wanting others’ approval?

What is one area where I need to refocus my attention on Jesus this week?

  2. I Am Loved Right Where I Am

Meditation:
The gospel reminds us that Jesus loves us in the middle of our real, everyday lives—not a cleaned-up version of ourselves. We don’t have to earn his love; we receive it by faith.

DiscussionQuestions:
What makes it difficult for me to believe that Jesus truly loves me as I am?

How might remembering God’s love change the way I approach my struggles this week?

3. Am I Joining Jesus’ Mission?

Meditation:
God’s love doesn’t stop with us. Jesus is renewing people who are broken by sin, and he invites us to participate in that work by loving and welcoming others.

DiscussionQuestions:
Who is someone in my life who may need to experience the welcome, love, or renewal of Jesus?

What is one practical way I can join Jesus in bringing renewal to that person this week?
