Serve

We are a
culture
of service.

Serving is at the bedrock of our response to Jesus. He “came not to be served, but to serve—and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Matthew 20v28). We want to live in the Way of Jesus, as people who serve each other.

There are many ways to utilize your unique gifts at Mountlake Church—from hospitality, to the arts, to behind-the-scenes help, to teaching, to prayer. There is room for you to make a contribution here.

Hospitality:

The Hospitality Team is comprised of Greeters, Ushers, Coffee Team, and Bookstore/Connect Team. Our vision for this ministry is to cultivate an abundantly welcoming and loving environment for our entire community. Connecting with every person who walks through our doors in the Way of Jesus.

Worship:

The Worship Team, consisting of Musicians, Vocalists, and Worship Leaders, is dedicated to using our gifts and talents to lead our congregation in heartfelt and transformative worship experiences. Our vision is to foster a deep connection with God through authentic and uplifting music, creating an environment where individuals can encounter His presence, experience spiritual renewal, and engage fully in worship.

KIDS & FAMILY

The Kids Team, including Classroom Leaders, Activity Coordinators, and Support Volunteers, is dedicated to creating a joyful and safe environment where children can grow in their faith and experience God’s love. Through age-appropriate teachings, engaging activities and compassionate care, we aim to support each child's walk with Jesus and foster a welcoming community for families.

Kids:

Two young performers sit on high stools on a small stage, playing guitars and singing into handheld microphones, while a group of children and teenagers sit in chairs and on the floor watching them in a cozy, dimly lit room with string lights and a whiteboard.

The Bridge Team, including Mentors, Activity Leaders, and Support Helpers is dedicated to guiding adolescents in their faith and bridging the gap between Kids Ministry and Youth (High School). We strive to create a dynamic and supportive environment where students can explore their spirituality, build connections, have fun, and ultimately grow in their understanding of God, preparing them for their next steps in faith and life.

Bridge:

The Youth Team, consisting of Mentors, Activity Leaders, and Support Helpers is committed to nurturing teens in their walk with Christ and preparing them for the future. Creating a supportive and engaging environment where students can deepen their faith, be discipled in the Way of Jesus, and strengthen their relationship with God. Our goal is to help them navigate their spiritual and personal growth, equipping them with a strong Christ-centered foundation for adulthood.

Youth:

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace. (1 Peter 4v10)
