The Gospel of John- Part 13: The Authority of the Son | John 5:16-30// March 29th, 2026
Teaching overview
Riley Taylor taught that John 5:16–29 marks a turning point where Jesus faces opposition after healing on the Sabbath and boldly claims unity with God. Through this passage, Jesus reveals that he shares the Father’s power to give life, authority to judge, and invitation for people to believe and receive eternal life. The message calls each person to respond: will you see Jesus as merely a teacher, or trust him as Lord?
Our prayer for your Community
Jesus, we come before you and ask for hearts that truly recognize you as Lord, not just a teacher, and that trust in your power to give us life. Help us to honor you in how we live this week, responding to your invitation with faith, humility, and obedience. In your name, Amen.
