The Gospel of John- Part 22: Love One Another | John 13:18-14:4// October 11th, 2026
Teaching overview
This past Sunday, Riley Taylor explored Jesus’ prediction of His betrayal and Peter’s denial in John 13, showing how Jesus looked beyond the darkness of the cross and and focused on the glory of the resurrection. In the midst of this darkness, Jesus commanded His followers to love one another as He had loved them. Riley challenged the church to resist division, hostility, and aggression, trusting that Christlike, sacrificial love is the defining mark of Jesus’ disciples and the way His followers reveal Him to the world.
Our prayer for the Community
Jesus, help us to love one another as You have loved us, and to show Your love to the people You have placed in our lives at home, work, school, and in our community. Keep us from being drawn into the division and hostility of the world, and help us to be people who bring unity, grace, and the love of Jesus wherever we go. Amen.
